The storey of Japanese figure skater Yuri Katsuki is told in Yuri on Ice. Yuri suffers a crushing defeat in the Grand Prix Final at the start of the show. He finishes college, defeated and depressed, and returns home to sort out his life.
Despite the fact that Yuri has gotten out of shape since the competition, he still enjoys the sport. The series follows Eijun Sawamura, a baseball pitcher who has developed a very unusual changeup pitch on his own. Kakeru is an ex-elite runner who has fallen on hard times. He is saved after shoplifting food by Haiji, a Kansei University student and fellow runner. Kakeru moves into a dormitory with Haiji and eight other strangers because he has nowhere else to go. Then Haiji announces his intention to enter all ten of them in the Hakone Ekiden, a well-known university relay marathon. However, with the exception of Haiji and Kakeru, few of the others have run competitively before.
Free is set in the Japanese town of Iwatobi, which is based on Iwami, Tottori. The plot revolves around Haruka Nanase, a gifted swimmer in high school. He and his friends revitalise Iwatobi High School’s swim team after meeting his childhood rival, Rin Matsuoka from Samezuka Academy. Rei Ryugazaki joins the team along with his childhood friends Makoto Tachibana and Nagisa Hazuki.
While the team prepares for tournaments, Haruka and Rin’s rivalry worsens due to Rin’s setbacks in improvement, even as his desire to swim competitively grows. During the prefectural tournament, however, Iwatobi’s swim team reminds Rin of their friendship with a medley relay. Despite their disqualification, the boys’ relationships improve.
Uchika Hanesaki was a reigning champion in the sport of badminton. Ayano, her daughter, would follow in her mother’s footsteps and train with Uchika for many years. Ayano caught a cold before an important badminton match in middle school and lost, causing Uchika to leave her and Ayano to be raised by her grandparents.
As a result of her mother’s departure, Ayano became depressed and stopped playing competitive badminton. Ayano is in her first year of high school when she is recruited to join the badminton club by former player Kentaro Tachibana. She learns to overcome her fears of playing badminton again while she is there.

Gen Kudou, a koto maker, believes that his delinquent grandson Chika will never grasp the significance of the traditional musical instrument. Chika attempts to join the Tokise High School Koto Club in order to atone for his naiveté and better understand his late grandfather’s words.
Despite the fact that the club is in desperate need of members, new club president Takezou Kurata is hesitant to accept Chika’s application due to his bad reputation. Nonetheless, after witnessing Chika’s seriousness and enthusiasm, Takezou invites the troubled child to join the band, along with koto prodigy Satowa Houzuki and three of Chika’s energetic friends. Kono Oto Tomare! follows a merry band of musicians as they strive to compete at the national level.

Hibiki Sakura is a second-year high school student with a voracious appetite, which causes her to gain weight. She falls head over heels in love with one of the trainers, Naruzo Machio, and joins the gym. Hibiki, inspired, resolves to lose weight.
Konomi Kasahara’s life was always centred on video games, particularly puzzle games. However, when she enters Hanamiya High School, she decides to abandon this way of life. As Konomi wanders the halls looking for a new activity, she comes across a massive wall owned by the school’s rock climbing team. Fascinated, she attempts to scale the wall, discovering that her puzzle-solving abilities can assist her in reaching the top.

Sakamichi Onoda, aku, has just started high school and intends to join the anime club. In order to reestablish the club, he attempts to recruit four new members.
Onoda has ridden his mamachari—a bulky bicycle with a step-through frame primarily used for short rides such as casual fun or grocery shopping—to Akihabara every week since he was a child to check out or buy otaku items. While training, fellow freshman Shunsuke Imaizumi, a bicyclist, notices a boy (Onoda) riding his mamchari up a steep road.
Shokichi Naruko, a freshman and road racing cyclist, visits Akihabara to get some Gundam plastic models for his younger brothers and meets Onoda, who catches his attention due to his cycling skill on the mamachari and later discovers they go to the same school. Later on, Naruko and Imaizumi both attempt to persuade him to join the bicycle racing club, but will he?
