In anime, a yandere is a character who is obsessively in love with someone or something and will resort to violence if any obstacle arises between them and their object of love. In feature films, they are depicted as obsessive lovers or stalkers. They are also fairly common in the world of anime.
These characters are able to generate sympathy for themselves, which is why they have amassed a large fan base over the years. Yandere is an ordinary and usually sweet character at first, but as the storey progresses, this character becomes brutal and wild, even willing to kill.
